Alaska's senate just cut the proposed PFD down to one thousand dollars per resident. The Alaska Senate Finance Committee released a new operating budget this week that reduces the proposed Permanent Fund Dividend to one thousand dollars per eligible Alaskan, down from the fifteen hundred dollars previously approved by the House. Governor Mike Dunleavy originally proposed a full statutory PFD of approximately thirty eight hundred dollars, but funding that figure would have required pulling roughl
